Taipei, Taiwan, June 2019 – Advantech, a leading provider of industrial computing platforms and solutions, is pleased to announce the latest models of its UTC series of all-in-one, self-service touch computer – the UTC-750 and UTC-720. The UTC-720 is single-unit kiosks system that features a 21.5/31.5” panel PC installed in a slim steel chassis with side-open design that allows easy system maintenance. By contrast, the UTC-750 is an innovative modular kiosk based on the Advantech UTC-500 series touch computer with support for various stand types to meet diverse installation requirements.
Built for 24/7 operation and to satisfy the diverse requirements of self-service applications, Advantech’s UTC-720/750 terminals are durable high-performance systems that can be flexibly configured for businesses that require tailored solutions. Both form factors are powered by a sixth-generation Intel® Core® i5-6300U processor with 16 GB of DDR3L memory, multiple I/O, including 2 Gigabit Ethernet, 2 COM, and up to 6 USB ports that increase the system’s extendibility. Meanwhile, the IP65-rated front panel and fanless design offer industrial-grade reliability to withstand operation in harsh environments. With support for multiple operating systems and the ability to integrate diverse optional peripherals, the UTC-720/750 series provide flexible solutions for a wide range of public service and commercial applications, such as interactive retail/industrial signage, inventory checking, customer feedback terminals, eMenu and self-ordering booths, meeting room booking systems, equipment control terminals, and self-service kiosk.
Stylish, Full-Function Touch Computer Solutions Designed for Easy and Flexible Installation
The UTC-720 series models are single-unit systems that feature a 21.5/31.5” panel PC installed in a slim steel chassis to provide a stylish solution for self-service kiosk applications, including functioning as restaurant self-ordering kiosks, cinema self-ticketing kiosks, and airport self-check-in kiosks. The optimized system footprint (100 mm thickness) and the ability to integrate diverse components at the front of the unit offer substantial space savings. Meanwhile, the system’s side-open design and recessed cable routing ensure convenient maintenance and streamlined cable management. Furthermore, the UTC-720 series terminals support pole, ceiling, and wall mounting for easy customization according to specific business environments.
Unlike traditional kiosks, the UTC-750 series are modular systems based on Advantech’s UTC-500 series touch computers that can be integrated with different stand types to satisfy diverse installation needs. The UTC-750 is compatible with both floor and table-top stands, which can also be extended from a single stand to a dual stand for additional functionality. Moreover, the UTC-750 series terminals are available with various screen sizes ranging from 10.1” to 42”.
Excellent Performance and Long-Term Durability at a Competitive Price
Powered by a sixth-generation Intel® Core® i5-6300U processor and equipped with up to 16 GB of DDR3L memory, the UTC-720/750 systems are competitively priced solutions that deliver excellent computing performance with ultra-low power consumption for reduced costs. Like the rest of the UTC series, the UTC-720/750 series feature a fanless design that ensures quiet operation and reduces the accumulation of dust and foreign contaminants. To extend the product lifecycle, the front panel is also IP65 rated for protection from water and dust ingress. Additionally, the UTC-720/750 systems are compatible with multiple operating systems, including Windows Embedded 7/8, Windows 10 IoT, and Linux, for easy deployment and integration with existing systems.
Flexible Configuration and Expansion with Multiple I/O and Integrated Peripherals
Another key advantage of the UTC-720/750 series is their high expandability for diverse applications. In addition to multiple I/O ports, including 2 Gigabit Ethernet, 2 COM, and up to 6 USB ports (4 x USB 2.0 and 2 x USB 3.0), UTC-720/750 systems can be equipped with a wide variety of application-oriented peripherals, such as a thermal printer, 2D barcode scanner, magnetic strip reader, NFC/RFID reader, smart card reader, pin pad, and payment modules integrated into the kiosk chassis or stand. For example, for the UTC-720 single-unit touch computer, the system can be fitted with two 10W speakers and an optional front-facing camera to provide a more immersive multimedia experience. For the UTC-750 modular touch computer, the four sides of the system frame can be equipped with additional UTC series peripherals, including a camera, an iBeacon module, and a fingerprint reader, to further extend the system functionality.
With the durability to withstand industrial operations and the expandability to support diverse applications, Advantech’s innovative UTC-720/750 touch computer provides the ideal self-service solutions for enhancing customer engagement and increasing brand awareness.
